DIY Jewelry

A small break in the exams and my lovely roommates, Faryal and Shazia,agreeing to model for my blog called for this post! Here’s how to turn a few beads and some ribbon into a unique piece of jewelry.

Supplies needed:

• Beads
• Ribbon
• Needle and thread (if you can, use that transparent jewelry cord)

(I chose a narrow ribbon  because I wanted the beads to look more prominent.)

Steps:

Pass the thread through the needle and tie a knot at one end. Fold the ribbon half way around the first bead in a way that it covers the holes on both sides and pass the needle though them.

Pull the thread and add the next bead folding the ribbon around it he same way. Continue till you have the desired number of beads

Finish by tying a knot at the other end too.

That’s basically it!

Pin in it up in your hair or tie it around your wrist and add matching accessories.
